Due
Jan 6th
Today is the due date we’ve been counting down to since we figured out I was pregnant in April.
We have a doctor appointment at 4:30. Best case scenario, I’m in labor and just don’t know it, haha. If nothing is happening then we need to set a day for induction so they can schedule it with the hospital. We’re leaning towards doing that as late as possible, which would be next Wednesday, or close to then. Hopefully if we set the date for later she’ll come on her own before then.
Last night Adam and I worked in the garage for a while, made us both happy getting it a little more sorted out. Our motivation for going out there and dealing with the junk dumping ground we’ve created over the past few months was to try and find a box of DVDs that we’re missing. We didn’t find the box, which is sad. Adam is holding out hope that it’s in Burlingham in Forest Grove and someone will find it and we can get it back. I’m just sad that Baby Mama is one of the ones we lost, plus a ton of other good movies.
Adam is trying to clear out the half of the garage that has the garage door opener so we can park our car in the garage. We’ve never had a garage to park in before, so that’s exciting. ThenĀ on the other side he’s got his tool bench, and now lots of tupperware drawers to sort electronics into. He’s hoping to create a mini version of a man cave, so he’s got some furniture to arrange. We’ll probably spend more time out there tonight since we’re enjoying staying busy instead of just sitting around being impatient.
I’m feeling pretty organized. Hannah’s room is ready, and I’m excited about the little nursing corner I made with the freshly painted glider and nightstand. My only to-do for right now is vacuuming the laminate, but it makes the dogs sad, so I’m putting it off. =)
and you think you’re excited

The next one of you who answers the phone, “are you in labor?” owes me dinner. It’s like you all are just as antsy as me, and you’re not carrying 30 extra pounds of fetus, fluid and fat, haha.
Today I made some solid attempts to shake Hannah out. Thai hot and sour soup, and curry for lunch. An hour long walk. Then more painting (I’m finished repainting a little nightstand I’m going to use as a table next to the rocker glider). Then washed the dogs, holy moly were they dirty, gross since they’ve been sleeping in our bed. Then a shower for me, and cleaning the shower of the dog hair and dirt. Then unloading and reloading the dishwasher and picking up dog toys. Now I’m washing the towels and waiting for the bathroom to dry a little so I can sweep. Sitting on the yoga ball and checking e-mail. And trying to keep the wet dogs off the couch.
I’ve been having a few more cramps than the past few days, so I’m hopeful, but not in labor. =)
Not in labor

Even bouncing on the yoga ball for half hour didn’t get Hannah to come out.
Waiting is hard.
We’re watching UP in Bluray, it’s very cute.
When is the baby due?
Jan 3rd
It is coming out, and it’s coming out loud! Baby!!!
For those of you who are not familiar with Brian Regan, you should be. Anyway, there have been some changes to the blog this evening/morning. Firstly, I hooked up my Twitter account back to the blog. I don’t remember why it disappeared in the first place, but now it is back. Second, there is a new poll. Please enter in your guess for due date and weight if you are feelin’ lucky! Lastly, there is a new theme for the blog, which should be very apparent. We are looking forward to a great new year with a great new baby.
Happy new years everyone, and I hope you vote (which is on the left-hand side of the screen now).
who wants a middle of the night text message?
Jan 2nd
We’re making a list of people who want a text message saying we’re heading to the hospital so you can start watching the blog for updates. It might be the middle of the night. Let us know if you want on the list. =)
Happy New Year!
Jan 1st
Just brought Adam home from his all-nighter with the middle schoolers so now it’s nap time. Unless Hannah thinks it would be more fun to be born when her dad has already been awake for 26+ hours. =)
